Next Week: Oceantic Network International Partnering Forum (IPF) in Virginia Beach, the Largest Offshore Renewable Energy Conference in the Americas
Next week, Oceantic Network is hosting its annual International Partnering Forum (IPF) in Virginia Beach. The event is the largest offshore renewable energy conference in the Americas and brings together offshore wind experts to discuss the future of the industry.
The week’s agenda includes seminars, panels and updates on the industry, a supplier fair, exhibits representing organizations working in the offshore wind and ocean renewables supply chain, boat tours of the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project led by Dominion Energy, and more. IPF 2025 is sponsored by several VAOSW members, including Dominion Energy, Virginia Maritime Association and Fairwinds Landing.
This conference comes as discussions around the offshore wind industry are picking up, particularly in Virginia. In a recent op-ed in the Virginian Pilot, Thomas Turner, state director of Conservatives for Clean Energy, wrote about the importance of the sector and its growth for the Commonwealth, saying: “Offshore wind is more than just an energy source — it is an economic engine. The industry is creating thousands of high-paying jobs, attracting private investment and revitalizing local industries.”
As the much-anticipated IPF conference approaches next week, the VAOSW team is looking forward to attending and connecting with others who are supporting the industry across the Commonwealth.
