Virginians for Offshore Wind Welcomes Five News Members to Coalition
Virginians for Offshore Wind (VAOSW) recently added five new members to the coalition who joined in support of clean energy and economic opportunity through the offshore wind industry in the Commonwealth. The new members of the coalition are five affiliated companies, each of which are actively involved in the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project: The Miller Group, Balicore Construction, Fairlead Integrated, Fairwinds Landing and Trident Civil.
“We are excited to join Virginians for Offshore Wind and support the advancement of clean energy in the Commonwealth,” said owner Jerry Miller. “Our team believes that the offshore wind industry represents an incredible opportunity to not only diversify Virginia’s energy landscape but also to create jobs and economic growth for the communities we serve across a wide variety of businesses.”

- The Miller Group has operated as a real-estate development company in southeastern Virginia for over two decades, acquiring over 375 acres of property for commercial and residential developments, generating over $300 million in development activity.
- BALICORE Construction, which stands for Building a Lasting Impression Constructed on Relationships and Excellence, is a general contractor that has operated for over 20 years in Virginia Beach. The company specializes in pre-construction, design/build, general contracting and construction management.
- Fairlead fabricates large steel ship modules, repairs ships and other watercraft, and designs/integrates marine systems for government and commercial maritime customers..
- Fairwinds Landing is transforming the former Lamberts Point Docks, a 131-acre marine breakbulk terminal in Hampton Roads, into a world-class Marine Logistics Center to support the offshore wind, shipbuilding and repair, and project cargo logistics industries.
- Trident Civil specializes in heavy civil construction projects in southeastern Virginia including site work, roadways, utilities, pump stations and structures.
We are thrilled to welcome these companies to our growing coalition. Their expertise across multiple industries strengthens our efforts to position offshore wind as a critical driver of Virginia’s clean energy future.
As more companies from various industries across Virginia continue joining our coalition of over 50 members, we can continue to see how all Virginians are going to be able to benefit from the valuable energy source and economic invigorator that is offshore wind.
